More important though, there are plenty of other electronics suppliers out there that now also use Tuya technology in their designs to IoT-enable their products, removing the need for the development of their own Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee components, apps and cloud-based services.
This means that manufacturers are able to reduce the retail prices, which in turn means that you benefit from lower upfront costs when setting up your home automation system. Goes without saying that subsequently expanding or upgrading smart home tech to cover more areas also becomes significantly cheaper.
These days, already more than 30.000 different products come with built-in Tuya IoT tech, including smart light bulbs, light switches, smart mains plugs and security systems. Conveniently enough, all of them are operated via smartphone app. Whether you choose the Tuya Smart or the Smart Life app is entirely up to you. Both apps support the Tuya platform means you or your loved ones can use any compatible smart appliance whenever wanted or needed.

And, why not utilise artificial intelligence, to ramp up home security another notch or two?
Alexa-controlled appliances: You don’t necessary have to rely on standard voice commands via Amazon Echo or Google home. Get ready for Christmas, and check out this project that allows you operate Christmas tree lighting using a smart plug and user-defined Alexa commands.
Sun-operated outdoor lighting: There is nothing wrong with using tried and tested timer settings to operate outdoor lighting. Means lights connected to a smart mains plug with built-in Tuya tech only consume energy during the dark hours.
